SIGNAL 9 MVA WITH MULTIPLE AIDED ON THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY! written by RL / CK, 06.25.2009

On Thursday June 25th at approximatley 11:38 am the Glen Cove PD received reports of an auto accident on Glen Cove Road at Town Path. Glen Cove PD called for Glen Cove EMS and Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department FORTHWITH. Glen Cove Fire Dispatcher #4 signed on the air with a Signal 9: Auto Accident, Request for the Hurst Tool.

Glen Cove Chiefs 5201 and 5203 responded with Heavy Rescue 522 to assist with extrication. Glen Cove EMS requested 5 additional ambulances to the scene from Sea Cliff, Locust Valley, Glenwood (2 ambulances), NCPD 2366, and Bayville to stand by at EMS HQ. 

A total of 7 aideds were at scene. 5 of the 7 aided were taken to NSUH @ Manhasset due to the severe mechanism and vehicle impact. The remaining 2 aided were transported to NSUH @ Glen Cove for evaluation.
