| The Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that one of Glen Cove's own has returned safely from Iraq. Marine Corp. 1st Lt. Robert Germino Jr. was assigned to RCT/2 (Regimental Combat Team) and was stationed in Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. Lt. Germino served in the war zone from Jan. 1, 2007 to Jan. 21, 2008.
