| SIGNAL 9: ONE CAR AUTO ACCIDENT ON GLEN COVE AVE BY THE SCHOOL FOR LANGUAGE written by R. LEFTWICH, 03.09.2008 |
| The Glen Cove Fire Department was dispatched to respond to an auto accident car into a pole on Glen Cove Ave by the School for Language. Signal 14 arrived at the scene and requested the Fire Department for the hurst tool to extricate the female driver that was trapped in the car. Heavy Rescue 522 and engine 525 responded to the scene as well as all four Glen Cove Chiefs. After Glen Cove EMS Assessed the female patient the decision was made not to cut the car, but to remove the patient from the rear drivers side door. LIPA was notified by signal 14 and fire dispatch for the downed utility pole at the scene.
