| SIGNAL 9 MVA AT LIRR GLEN ST. STATION CROSSING written by SJB, 06.05.2008 |
| 12:50 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2008, Glen Cove Fire Dispatcher No.1 signed on the air with a Signal 9: Car vs. Train with aided at the Glen St. Railroad Station. Glen Cove Police and EMS arrived on scene immediately, followed shortly by Chiefs 5200 and 5203. Glen Cove EMS safely removed the driver from the car that was hit in the rear on the west bound track. Heavy Rescue 522 responded with a full crew to assist on the scene. MTA Officials and MTA Police also arrived on scene to investigate the accident. Oyster Bay trains were delayed in both directions for some time at the Glen St. station.
